Blue Tit
A neighbourhood salon
Blue Tit London had established a reputation for creating neighbourhood salons with distinctive identities, each responding to its local context while remaining connected to the wider brand. For its expansion into Crouch Hill, the opportunity was to create a new destination that reflected the area's creative character while strengthening Blue Tit's presence in North London. The site itself was in poor condition, with no usable floor structure, limited ceiling heights and significant structural challenges to overcome.

We were engaged to transform the site into a flagship salon that embodied the Blue Tit ethos of creativity, sustainability and experience-led design. The brief was to create a space that felt authentic to the neighbourhood while providing a highly functional environment for both clients and stylists.

We reimagining the existing shell as a contemporary salon inspired by New York loft apartments and Brooklyn creative spaces. The design combined raw textures, exposed brickwork, skylit wash stations and a playful palette of blush pink tiles, bold blue accents and abundant planting. The layout was carefully organised around the operational needs of the salon while creating a relaxed and welcoming customer experience.

Blue Tit Crouch Hill established a strong physical identity for the brand, creating a salon that feels both locally rooted and distinctive. The project transformed a challenging site into a vibrant destination, demonstrating how thoughtful design and careful execution can strengthen brand identity through the built environment.
